“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.” (Jer 17:8).
Beloved, it all boils down to where your trust lies. Love and trust go hand in hand. One cannot say they love God and fail to trust Him. Jesus said in the book of John 14:23 “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them”. Over the years I have come to realized that in the natural when trust is jeopardized, love is always in the verge of being compromised too.
In order to flourish in love one must trust. Trusting is not just a word; it’s an action. Jesus said all who “LOVE” Him will “DO”. It’s in that doing that shows you trust Him. We can all scream and shout how we love Him, and trust Him, but if we can’t love Him enough to do what He ask us to do, we will be more of loving Him with our lips (lip service) and not truly loving Him. As I write these down, I get this revelation that in us doing what He says it’s then God comes in and dwell among us. It’s in Him dwelling in us that we receive freedom to thrive, for where the Spirit of God is there is liberty. So it doesn’t matter how it looks in the natural, the moment we say yes, and do what God asks us to do, He comes and dwell in us, empowering us, and we will be like a tree planted by the water, we will never cease to yield fruits.
This is the reason why you will find people doing things which in the natural are absurd but they thrive. Let’s look at the issue of tithes. In the natural 100% is more than 90%, but in the kingdom of God it’s the opposite. When God says give 10% and we obey Him, It shows we love Him and we trust Him. In doing so God comes and dwell in us and everything we touch thrive. The natural mind can’t quietly process this, and that’s why people are struggling with giving Him the 10%. It’s not because God is asking too much, but it’s because most people who struggle with tithing don’t quite love Him. Have you ever been in love or you are in love? If so, you will realize that you will do anything for the one you love. You will give your time, your money, your energy; you will be willing to give everything. God already showed us how the real love looked like when He LOVED us so much that He GAVE (Did something) His only begotten son (He didn’t lip serviced about it, He literally did something about it).
In conclusion: Love God. Trust Him enough to do what He asks you to do, and you will be like a tree planted by the riverside yielding fruits in all seasons of life. It’s His irrefutable word, He will make home in anyone who does what HE says. It tastes so sweet to trust in God; taste and see that God is good.
